Esonga Menstrual Care is a Ugandan female health and hygiene enterprise based in Jinja City, serving schools and communities across Eastern Uganda.
Who we are
Esonga Menstrual Care (Esonga Investments Limited) is a Ugandan female health and hygiene enterprise based in Jinja City. We make menstrual care practical, affordable and dignified for girls and women across Eastern Uganda, working in Jinja, Busia, Tororo, Mayuge, Namayingo and neighbouring districts.
We supply disposable and reusable sanitary pads, dignity and personal-care kits and pad-making materials, and we deliver menstrual health education and reusable pad training for schools, communities, institutions and partner organisations. Our products reach people through the Esonga Hygiene Kiosk, the Esonga Mobile Kiosk and our network of Esonga Champions, trained menstrual health master trainers who serve as community agents.
Esonga grew out of years of community menstrual health work and is now a registered social enterprise built to last. We sell products and services so that access to dignified menstrual care does not depend on short-term aid, and we connect menstrual health with education, health referrals, safe menstrual waste management and women’s livelihoods.
