Esonga Menstrual Care partners with ASHWA (Advocates for Sustainable Health & Wealth in Africa) to link nutrition and menstrual health at household level.
Together we have trained 1,250 young mothers in kitchen gardening and reusable menstrual pad (RUMPs) making.
- Kitchen gardens have increased the supply of fresh vegetables for young mothers and their families.
- Reusable pad skills give young mothers reliable access to menstrual products they can make, use and sell, which supports productivity at household level.
The partnership sits within Esonga Nutrition, part of the Esonga ecosystem that connects nutrition education, products and community nutrition programmes with menstrual health.
